Sketch of the structure of NaV2O5, consisting of planarly `zipped' double-chains (ladders) of oxygen shared VO5 pyramides separated by Na cations. The material shows an irregularity at 33K, supposed to be due to interlinked charge ordering and spin Peierls transitions.
